The Sustainable Health Systems Hub (SHS–Hub) is a consortium of partners and key stakeholders from across the UK. Funded by the UKRI strategic theme ‘Building a Green Future’, we are tasked with helping the NHS to decarbonise patient pathways and become environmentally sustainable.

Our hub connects healthcare leaders, key industry partners, patients, practitioners, volunteers and academics from across many health, social, economic and environmental disciplines to create, develop, innovate and implement sustainable health and social care pathways and reduce environmental pollution.

We are developing a deployable holistic toolkit which can be used to create and implement emission reduction plans across a range of clinical, health, and social care patient pathways.
